Rumble Rooms Official Opening at 12th Street, Milton Keynes 🪓

Last night, we had the pleasure of attending the official launch of Rumble Rooms, the latest competitive socialising venue to hit 12th Street, Milton Keynes.

With an exciting mix of activities, from interactive darts, beer pong, shuffleboard, arcade games, pool, and axe throwing, Rumble Rooms offers an energetic alternative to traditional nights out, catering to the growing demand for social gaming experiences over clubbing.

Arriving at 8pm, we were greeted by a striking balloon arch, setting the tone for the fun-filled evening ahead. Check-in was seamless, and we received a drink token to kick things off in style. The venue retains much of the familiar layout from its previous life as Brewhouse and Kitchen but now boasts a vibrant new identity—a lively atmosphere filled with games, competition, and plenty of laughter.

Exploring the Venue

The ground floor features a bar on the left and a gaming area to the right, where the old brewing tanks have been replaced by interactive darts, arcade machines, and axe throwing lanes. Upstairs, another bar awaits, alongside beer pong, shuffleboard, and relaxed seating, perfect for socialising between games.

The night’s festivities officially began with a ribbon-cutting ceremony by the Mayor of Milton Keynes, Councillor Marie Bradburn, alongside

Rumble Rooms’ owner, Footballer Kyel Reid, and manager Richard Browning. With formalities done, it was time to explore!

The Games Begin

We kicked off with beer pong, which proved to be more of a workout than expected—chasing stray ping pong balls was a challenge in itself! Shuffleboard followed, where we quickly learned that mastering the perfect slide takes real skill.

Next up, we took on the interactive darts, a standout attraction that adds a tech-savvy twist to the traditional game. The experience was not only entertaining but incredibly clever, keeping us all engaged. Our Finance and Office Manager, Cassy (aka Terri for this match), showcased her inner Luke Littler, hitting a bullseye and claiming the trophy—celebrating with an impromptu dance in front of the screen!

The arcade section was buzzing with competitive energy. Some of our team tackled the shooting game, while others tested their skills at basketball—a personal highlight, where I managed an impressive 101 points. (MK Breakers, if you're reading this, I’m available!)

Unfortunately, we missed out on axe throwing due to high demand, but feedback from those who tried it confirmed that it’s harder than it looks. It’s also worth noting that for safety reasons, participants must limit alcohol intake (only one drink allowed) and sign a waiver via a QR code located at the activity.

The Unexpected Highlight: The Toilet Disco!

Before leaving, we made one last stop—the ladies' toilets—where we discovered the infamous red button. Fear not, it’s not an emergency alarm, but rather a trigger for an impromptu disco! Cue PJ and Duncan, flashing lights, and an unexpected singalong moment—an amusing and quirky touch that adds to Rumble Rooms’ playful character.

Final Thoughts

All major activities—darts, axe throwing, beer pong, and shuffleboard—are bookable and chargeable, with pricing and reservations available via the Rumble Rooms website. Arcade games, pool, and air hockey operate on a pay-as-you-go basis.

Overall, Rumble Rooms delivered a brilliant night of fun, laughter, and friendly competition. It’s a fantastic addition to Milton Keynes’ social scene, offering an energetic mix of gaming, drinks, and socialising. Whether you're looking to relax, unleash your competitive side, or simply have a laugh chasing ping pong balls, Rumble Rooms is the place to be!
