Musical theatre fans have plenty to be excited about this season, with a stellar line-up of productions heading to Milton Keynes in the coming months. The season begins with the much-anticipated return of the timeless favourite Blood Brothers, quickly followed by The Lightning Thief: The Percy Jackson Musical, fresh from its West End success. The dazzling elegance of Top Hat — a musical as sparkling as vintage champagne — makes a welcome return, before The Bodyguard takes centre stage with its unforgettable soundtrack of chart-topping hits.

As the season unfolds, Milton Keynes Theatre proudly presents Cameron Mackintosh and Disney’s magical production of Mary Poppins, running for a spectacular four-week engagement. Based on P.L. Travers’ beloved stories and the classic Disney film, this enchanting tale of the world’s most famous nanny arriving at Cherry Tree Lane features breath-taking choreography, stunning visual effects, and songs that continue to captivate audiences of all ages.

Fans of thrillers and suspense won’t be disappointed either, with a trio of compelling plays on offer. Inside Number 9 – Stage/Fright brings the dark wit of Steve Pemberton and Reece Shearsmith to the stage, while the spine-tingling 2:22 A Ghost Story returns starring Stacey Dooley and Kevin Clifton. Rounding out the trio is Death on the Nile, Agatha Christie’s iconic mystery featuring the legendary Hercule Poirot.

Theatre lovers can also look forward to a diverse programme of shows across a wide range of genres. Dance enthusiasts will be treated to Cirque Éloize – iD RELOADED from Canada, and the iconic Riverdance 30: The New Generation, celebrating three decades of global success.

For a good laugh, check out the theatre’s packed line-up of comedy one-nighters, featuring big names like Stewart Lee and Dara Ó Briain, plus a curated comedy showcase in Comedy Cow Presents October’s Prime Cut.
