Kick off the festive season in Milton Keynes City Centre at the annual Christmas Lights Switch-On! This FREE outdoor event is full of music, comedy, family fun, and festive cheer, ending with a spectacular fireworks display as the Christmas lights across central MK are illuminated.
Festivities start at 2:00 PM with a few fairground rides and at 3pm comedy elves will be interacting with the crowd gathering.
Comedian and internationally recognised magician David Allen returns to host the event and at 4:00 PM by the following performers will take to the stage:
✨4pm - Children of Christ the Sower Primary School perform.
🎅🏻4.15pm - Arts1 will perform a melody from Frozen and a special song from a well known Christmas film - Clue: “ The best way to spread Christmas cheer is singing loud for all to hear.”
🎤 4.35pm - Ollie Corbett - a local jazz and swing singer who has travelled the world singing on cruise ships will treat us a selection of Christmas favourites.
🎶4.55pm - Milton Keynes Rock Choir, led by pianist and singer Rob Baker are going to get us all in the festive spirit with a brillaint set.
✨5.15pm - Get your lights ready! The Evil Ringmaster, Gary Milner will take to the stage to talk Panto!
🎅🏻5.20pm - Santa joins the stage to turn on the lights and start the firework finale!

MK Gallery will be lit up to start the festive period!
Please note there will be an official peddler by the funfair, selling glow-up goodies with a strict maximum price of £5 to ensure families aren’t faced with inflated prices. They are also donating £200 to YMCA MK for their pitch, which will be doubled to £400 through the Big Give initiative. (Any donations made to YMCA MK from midday on Tuesday 2 December for one week will be doubled.)
