Spring 2026 marks Dance Consortium’s seventh tour with the iconic all-male comedy ballet company Les Ballets Trockadero de Monte Carlo. Fresh from celebrating their 50th anniversary, the Trocks continue to captivate audiences worldwide with their unmistakable blend of razor-sharp classical technique, theatrical flair and brilliantly executed ballet parody.

At the heart of every performance is their deep love of classical and romantic ballet. Their affectionate spoofs pay homage to the art form, with the company’s exceptional dancers taking on dual roles as ballerinas and danseurs, performing some of the most iconic and demanding works in the classical repertoire.

Founded in 1974 in the wake of the Stonewall Riots, the Trocks began as a late-night act on a makeshift New York stage within an early LGBTQ+ organisation. Pioneers from the start, they embody values of inclusivity, gender fluidity and body positivity — once radical, now celebrated and embraced.

The repertoire and cast for the Ireland and UK tour will be revealed early in the New Year. Expect choreography and comedy in equal measure, attitude and eyelashes, high camp and heartfelt homage — and, of course, the company’s legendary The Dying Swan.
