Signin’ In The Rain Set to Splash Into Milton Keynes Theatre in 2027

The acclaimed production of SINGIN’ IN THE RAIN heads to Milton Keynes Theatre in March 2027, complete with dazzling choreography and 14,000 litres of water on stage.

Jonathan Church Theatre Productions has announced that the smash-hit production of SINGIN’ IN THE RAIN will embark on a major UK and Ireland tour, arriving at the milton keynes theatre logo is blue and white with a red stripe .Milton Keynes Theatre from Tue 23 – Sat 27 Mar 2027.

Produced by Chichester Festival Theatre, Stage Entertainment and Sheffield Theatres, the much-loved musical is based on the classic Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer film and has already been seen by millions worldwide following successful runs in the West End and across the globe.

Director Jonathan Church said: “I'm absolutely delighted that our production of Singin’ In The Rain is coming back to the UK and Ireland to tour and visit Sadlers Wells again.

“Following its Chichester and West End premieres this production has now been seen by millions of people around the world - as far afield as China, Russia, Japan, Australia, Canada and New Zealand. It's even more thrilling to start this tour at the mighty Sheffield Crucible where my directing career began. I look forward to UK audiences revelling in the dazzling choreography of this classic musical treat and marvelling at the 14,000 litres of water that the company splashes its way through every night!”

Audiences will be transported back to the glamour of 1920's Hollywood with spectacular choreography, lavish set design and the show’s famous on-stage rain effects, featuring more than 14,000 litres of water each performance.

The story follows silent movie stars Don Lockwood and Lina Lamont as Hollywood transitions to “talkies”, turning their world upside down when an aspiring actress is brought in to help save their latest film.

The production features some of musical theatre’s most iconic songs, including Good Morning, Make ‘em Laugh and the legendary Singin’ in the Rain.

SINGIN’ IN THE RAIN is directed by Jonathan Church, with choreography by Andrew Wright and additional choreography by Jayne Elster. The creative team also includes set and costume designer Simon Higlett, lighting designer Tim Mitchell, sound designer Gareth Owen, video designer Ian Galloway and musical supervisor Robert Scott.

Casting for the UK and Ireland tour will be announced soon.

Performances run at Milton Keynes Theatre from Tue 23 – Sat 27 Mar 2027. Tickets are available for ATG+ members now, with general sale opening at 10am on Tue 26 Mar.
