The wildlife-inspired experience officially launched on Saturday 1 August with Safari Live, bringing life-size orangutan and panda characters to Midsummer Place, alongside free face painting, wildlife-themed workshops from Woburn Safari Park and plenty more safari fun.

The launch was a huge hit with families, with children getting stuck into the activities, meeting the characters and discovering the giant grass animals dotted throughout the shopping centre.

Running throughout the summer holidays until 30 August, the free family trail is already attracting strong visitor numbers, giving families the chance to enjoy a fun activity alongside a day out shopping in Milton Keynes.

Created in partnership with Woburn Safari Park, Safari in the City encourages families to explore Midsummer Place, discover the animals and enjoy a taste of the safari right in the heart of the city.

There’s also the chance to win one of five family tickets to Woburn Safari Park, giving lucky winners the opportunity to continue their safari adventure beyond Midsummer Place.

The fun continues throughout the summer with a programme of free family entertainment, including children’s disco parties with Ragdolly Anna and creative craft workshops.
