Parrilla Opens at The Hub ✨

New Argentinian Steakhouse "Parrilla" (pah-ree-yah) Opens at The Hub, Promising a Taste of Authentic South American Flavors🥩
Joanne McClaren

A sizzling new dining destination has arrived at The Hub, bringing the rich flavours of Argentina to the heart of the city.

Parrilla, an authentic Argentinian steakhouse, officially opened its doors this week, offering food lovers a chance to indulge in traditional Argentine cuisine, with an emphasis on perfectly cooked meats, flavourful sides, and a curated wine list.

The name Parrilla — Spanish for "grill" — reflects the heart and soul of the Argentine dining experience. Known for its world-class steaks, Argentina is famous for its asado — a method of cooking meat over an open flame or grill — and Parrilla aims to bring that culinary tradition to The Hub with a menu that celebrates the art of grilling. From tender cuts of bife de chorizo (sirloin steak) to juicy empanadas, each dish is prepared and cooked to perfection over a custom-built wood-fired grill.

The new Parrilla in Milton Keynes boasts a truly stunning décor that effortlessly blends sophistication with a touch of luxury. The standout feature is the velvet-effect walls, which create a rich, textured backdrop that adds depth and warmth to the space. These plush surfaces are complemented by ambient lighting, enhancing the elegant atmosphere while giving the interior a modern, yet cosy, feel. The use of dark, moody hues paired with soft gold accents brings a sense of opulence, making the venue both inviting and striking. Whether you're dining with friends or enjoying a more intimate meal, the décor sets the perfect tone for a memorable experience.

A Menu Crafted for Steak Lovers

The highlight of the Parrilla experience is undoubtedly the steaks. Guests can choose from a range of cuts, including ribeye, flank steak, and the signature bife de lomo (tenderloin). Each cut is seasoned with a blend of classic Argentine spices and herbs, then cooked to the customer’s preferred doneness on the wood-fired grill. For those who prefer something beyond beef, the restaurant also offers Paella (for two), as well as freshly prepared fish options.

The menu also features an array of classic Argentine sides, such as mushroom consommé, (a warm wild mushroom medley sautéed in confit garlic), Wagyu sausages, (roasted Parrilla-style), and chilli mac and Cheese, (fresh macaroni with a spicy twist and parmesan). For dessert, guests can enjoy Argentinian Apple Empanadas, (house-made apple empanadas served with Dulce de Leche ice cream), amongst other delicious choices.

Conclusion

Located in the heart of The Hub, Parrilla aims to become a community gathering place for food enthusiasts and those looking to enjoy an authentic Argentine dining experience.

Reservations are recommended, particularly on weekends when the restaurant is expected to be busy.
