Starting from Monday, 28th October 2024, new rules will be in place for parking electric bikes and scooters within the boundaries of V8, V6, H6, and H5 grid roads/Redways in the city centre.

The popular hire services, Lime and Dott, will introduce geofenced parking zones at all existing bike racks within Central Milton Keynes. Riders will only be able to end their journeys by parking the bikes and scooters in designated cycle parking areas, such as Sheffield stands and street pods, which will be clearly marked on the operators' apps.

These changes aim to encourage the continued use of the bike and scooter hire schemes as a sustainable and active mode of transport.

The new measures are part of ongoing efforts to make Milton Keynes a safer and more accessible place for all, while supporting environmentally friendly transport options.
