Milton Keynes Theatre Unveils Blockbuster Summer Season for 2026 🎭

Looking for things to do in Milton Keynes this summer? Milton Keynes Theatre has revealed its highly anticipated Summer Season for 2026, packed with West End hits, live music, comedy, family favourites and spectacular dance.

From must-see musicals to one-night concerts and laugh-out-loud comedy, the programme promises a standout season of nights out in Milton Keynes, with something for every audience.

The season kicks off in April with a strong line-up of theatre favourites. The smash hit musical comedy Mean Girls arrives from 14–18 April, bringing the iconic film to life on stage. It’s followed by the gripping psychological thriller Single White Female (21–25 April), before the much-loved sitcom Fawlty Towers is reimagined for the stage from 28 April – 2 May.

May continues the momentum with a mix of one-night events and returning favourites. Audiences can enjoy live performances from The Illegal Eagles (3 May), Alfie Boe (4 May), Josh Widdicombe (6 May) and Russell Howard (7 May). Families are well catered for too, with Sing-a-Long-a The Greatest Showman and Encanto on 9 May, alongside the high-energy tribute concert Taylormania (17 May).

Music and opera fans can also look forward to Luther Live & Velvet Voices (12 May), The Simon & Garfunkel Story (13 May), and performances from the Welsh National Opera, presenting The Flying Dutchman (15 May) and Blaze of Glory! (16 May).

Theatre lovers are in for a treat as the award-winning adaptation of To Kill A Mockingbird takes to the stage from 19–23 May, followed by the feel-good West End hit The Choir of Man (26–30 May). The month concludes with Queen of the Night – A Tribute to Whitney Houston on 31 May.

June brings a packed and varied programme, including the internationally acclaimed Les Ballets Trockadero de Monte Carlo (2–3 June), a live performance from Midge Ure (4 June), and a dazzling dance showcase from Amy Dowden and Carlos Gu (5 June).

One of the biggest highlights of what’s on at Milton Keynes Theatre this summer is Operation Mincemeat (8–13 June), the award-winning musical comedy that tells the extraordinary true story of a secret World War II mission. With its fast-paced storytelling and sharp humour, it’s expected to be one of the hottest tickets of the season.

The theatre continues to deliver crowd-pleasers with The Karate Kid – The Musical (16–20 June) and the spectacular Lord of the Dance – 30th Anniversary Tour (22–28 June). Families can also enjoy The Tiger Who Came to Tea on 29 June.

Rounding off June, political satire takes centre stage with I’m Sorry, Prime Minister from 30 June, starring Simon Rouse and Clive Francis.

July keeps the momentum going with Matthew Bourne’s acclaimed dance production The Car Man (7–11 July), followed by the gripping adaptation of The Spy Who Came In From The Cold (14–18 July), starring Ralf Little.

Music fans can enjoy A Vision of Elvis (19 July) and Jools Holland and His Rhythm & Blues Orchestra (27 July), while families won’t want to miss the return of the beloved musical Annie (21–26 July).

August opens with the feel-good sounds of The Magic of Motown on 1 August, bringing timeless hits and high-energy choreography back to the Milton Keynes stage.

The summer season concludes with a show-stopping finale as Dirty Dancing arrives from 27–29 August. Audiences will have the chance to experience the iconic romance, music and choreography live on stage—and be among the first to see the brand-new tour as it launches in Milton Keynes.
