The new displays have been installed along Midsummer Boulevard, as well as at a blue cross with the word xscape below it .Xscape, 12th Street and City Square, adding a splash of colour for visitors, workers and residents to enjoy.

They join 50 existing planters that have recently been refreshed with vibrant summer flowers, bringing the total number of displays across the city centre to 90.

As well as making the city centre look more attractive, the planting helps support local wildlife by encouraging pollinators such as bees and other insects.

Jill Farnsworth, CEO of MyMiltonKeynes BID, said: “Following the success of last year’s displays, we’re pleased to be expanding our flower displays even further across Milton Keynes City Centre. As well as brightening the environment, these planters help create a more welcoming and vibrant place for everyone who works, visits or spends time here. Supporting biodiversity is also an important part of this initiative, helping to attract pollinators into the city centre.”

The displays will continue to be updated throughout the year, ensuring plenty of seasonal colour across Milton Keynes City Centre.
