MEAN GIRLS, the smash-hit musical comedy based on the legendary Paramount Pictures film of the same name, premiered in the West End at the Savoy Theatre on 5 June 2024. The production was seen by over 330,000 people and ran until 8 June 2025. MEAN GIRLS also picked up the prestigious ‘Best New Musical’ award at the 2025 WhatsOnStage Awards.
The show originally premiered in 2017 at the National Theatre in Washington, D.C., before making its Broadway debut in April 2018 at the August Wilson Theatre, playing to packed houses and rave reviews. Following its Broadway success, MEAN GIRLS embarked on a hugely popular US tour in 2019, recently completing a second US tour. In 2024, Paramount Pictures also released a fresh take on the fan-favourite film, reimagined by Tina Fey, complete with electrifying musical numbers.
