Worldwide smash-hit musical MAMMA MIA! visits Milton Keynes Theatre as part of a major new UK tour.

Casting will be announced soon.

From West End smash to global phenomenon, MAMMA MIA! is Judy Craymer’s ingenious creation, bringing together the storytelling magic of ABBA’s timeless hits with a sunny, funny tale of a mother, a daughter, and three possible dads set against a picturesque Greek island backdrop.

This irresistibly funny production has delighted audiences across the world, and now is the perfect moment to experience this unmissable musical. Whatever your age, “you can’t help but have the time of your life at MAMMA MIA!”

Now celebrating its 27th year, MAMMA MIA! has been enjoyed by more than 11 million people in London’s West End alone, where it has surpassed 10,000 performances. The international tour has travelled to 42 countries in the last 20 years, staging over 3,900 performances and entertaining upwards of 7.7 million people.

On Broadway, it became the 9th longest-running show in history, playing an extraordinary 14 years and returning triumphantly to the Winter Garden Theatre this summer. In 2011, it also made history as the first Western musical ever performed in Mandarin in the People’s Republic of China. To date, MAMMA MIA! has been seen live by more than 70 million people worldwide and inspired two record-breaking films.

Produced by Judy Craymer, MAMMA MIA! The Movie (2008) became the highest-grossing live-action musical film ever released. Its sequel, MAMMA MIA! HERE WE GO AGAIN (2018), went on to become the most successful live musical movie sequel of all time. Both films featured an all-star cast including Meryl Streep, Christine Baranski, Julie Walters, Pierce Brosnan, Colin Firth, Stellan Skarsgård, Amanda Seyfried, and Dominic Cooper, with Lily James, Andy Garcia and Cher joining for the second instalment.

With music & lyrics by Benny Andersson & Björn Ulvaeus, MAMMA MIA! is written by Catherine Johnson, directed by Phyllida Lloyd and choreographed by Anthony Van Laast. The creative team includes Mark Thompson (design), Howard Harrison (lighting), Andrew Bruce & Bobby Aitken (sound), and Martin Koch (musical supervision, additional material & arrangements).

The UK tour is produced by Judy Craymer, Richard East & Björn Ulvaeus for Littlestar, in association with Universal Music Group and NGM.
