The Milton Keynes branch of
John Lewis & Partners has partnered with the UK and Ireland tour of TINA – THE TINA TURNER MUSICAL to bring a striking costume exhibition to the city centre, ahead of the production’s arrival at
Milton Keynes Theatre.
Running from 12 January to 9 February, the exhibition showcases a selection of Tina Turner’s most iconic stage outfits, giving shoppers the chance to see the looks that helped define her fearless presence and unmistakable style up close. Designed by acclaimed set and costume designer Mark Thompson, the display includes replicas of the legendary gold fringe dress worn during Tina’s unforgettable Proud Mary performance on The Ed Sullivan Show in 1970, alongside the bold red leather outfit from her 1988 Rio de Janeiro concert.
From shimmering silhouettes to powerful statement pieces, the exhibition is a striking tribute to an artist whose influence reaches far beyond music.
The display coincides with the arrival of TINA – THE TINA TURNER MUSICAL at Milton Keynes Theatre, where the production runs from 27 January to 7 February. While the show brings Tina’s extraordinary life story to the stage, John Lewis brings her fashion legacy into the heart of the city centre.
Shoppers are encouraged to stop by, take a closer look, and perhaps even channel a little Tina Turner-inspired style while exploring the latest fashion collections in store. Whether you’re heading to the theatre or simply enjoying a day out, it’s a must-see exhibition that adds a touch of rock ’n’ roll glamour to Milton Keynes. 🎤✨
