The show arrives at Milton Keynes Theatre from Tuesday 9 to Saturday 13 September, giving fans the chance to see the award-winning comedy live on stage.

Pemberton and Shearsmith star once again in this theatrical version of their hit TV series Inside No.9, described by The Sunday Times as dazzlingly entertaining.” Following glowing reviews and a sell-out run, Stage / Fright has been hailed as “absurdly entertaining. There’s simply nothing like it” (Mail on Sunday), with the Financial Times calling it “wildly clever.” The Daily Telegraph summed it up simply: “Bravo.”

Nominated for an Olivier Award this year for Best New Entertainment or Comedy Play, Stage / Fright brings together all the hallmarks of Inside No.9 — comedy, drama, and spooky surprises — blending fan-favourite elements with new material and unexpected twists. Additional casting details will be revealed soon.

Steve Pemberton and Reece Shearsmith said:
"We have been bowled over by the success of Inside No 9 Stage / Fright at the Wyndham’s Theatre. Selling out every performance before the run started and being nominated for an Olivier Award was fantastic enough, but the nightly reaction from fans and newcomers alike has been exhilarating and really quite moving.

So we are delighted to be able to bring the show to a wider audience around the country. The phrase ‘swan-song’ refers to a final performance, often associated with the ancient belief that swans sing beautifully just before their death. Which is a load of bollocks, of course, as all swans do is shit and honk. So come along to the swan-song tour of Inside No. 9 and see for yourselves how we bow out. There won’t be a dry seat in the house."

Adding extra intrigue, each performance will feature a surprise celebrity ‘hostage’ joining Steve and Reece on stage. The West End run included big names like Stephen Fry, Lenny Henry, Mel Giedroyc, Michael Sheen, Rob Brydon, Meera Syal, and many more — who might appear at the Milton Keynes shows?

The ninth and final season of the acclaimed Inside No.9 TV series aired last year and is available to stream on BBC iPlayer.

Inside No.9 Stage / Fright is presented by Phil McIntyre Live and IN9 Theatre Company.
