Earlier this year, Milton Keynes Theatre confirmed that panto legend Brian Conley will return as Billy Barnum, leading this year’s spectacular circus-themed production. Joining him on stage is Lucy Conley as Goldilocks, alongside the fabulous David Robbins as Dame Betty Barnum, panto villain Gary Milner as Baron Von Blackheart, master illusionist Phil Hitchcock as The Magical Mysterioso, and — straight from Zippo’s Circus — the incredible Timbuktu Tumblers.
For five magical weeks, the theatre will be transformed into an extraordinary circus world, where surprises spring to life and anything can (and probably will!) happen. Expect side-splitting comedy, dazzling effects, daring stunts and circus skills that will have the whole family gasping and cheering.
The story follows Goldilocks as she fights to save her beloved Big Top from a ruthless rival circus owner. With her loyal circus friends by her side, hope seems slim — until three very special bears come to the rescue…
Emma Sullivan, Theatre Director at Milton Keynes Theatre, said:
“Two years ago, audiences adored the on-stage chemistry and comedy banter between panto legend Brian Conley and his daughter Lucy, so we are beyond thrilled to be once again welcoming back not one but two members of the Conley family for this year’s festive season! David Robbins, Gary Milner, Phil Hitchcock, and the rest of this fantastic cast will ensure there is a perfect mix of speciality circus acts and traditional panto fun: all the ingredients we need for Goldilocks and the Three Bears to be the greatest panto on earth!”
The pantomime runs from Saturday 6 December 2025 to Sunday 11 January 2026, with additional Audio Described, Captioned, BSL interpreted and relaxed performances available. Full casting will be announced later this year.
This year’s official charity partner is the Milton Keynes Community Foundation (MKCF). Donations throughout the season will support MKCF’s Community Fund, helping local charities and community groups across the city.
