White Ribbon UK is the leading charity in England and Wales working with men and boys to end men’s violence against women and girls. For this year’s White Ribbon Day, the charity is encouraging men to speak up in their daily lives, challenge misogyny, and help break the culture that normalises sexism and contributes to violence.
To support this message, White Ribbon UK has teamed up with award-winning photographer Claudia Janke to showcase 16 White Ribbon Ambassadors — men who have pledged to use their voices to create a society where everyone is safe, equal and respected. Each portrait was captured using a traditional instant box camera.
