Want to learn how to get started garment making and following a pattern?
This session will cover the step by step process to follow when getting started with your own sewing projects.
Amber will give a comprehensive talk on the core areas to consider when reading a sewing pattern, including the following key areas:
- Fundamental sewing principles
- Sizing and measuring
- Fabric choice
- Fabric quantity Interfacing
- There will be an opportunity for Q&A with Amber and support available in choosing a pattern if required.
Tickets are £10, redeemable on any Haberdashery purchase on the day.
Joining an in-store event
Please arrive at the store at least 10 minutes before the start of the session and make your way to the meeting place which is the 'Discovery Room' on the mezzanine floor. Please bring your ticket with you, either printed or on your phone, and your My John Lewis card or app for ticket redemption.
All of our events are exclusive to My John Lewis members. As a member you are also welcome to book additional tickets for friends and family to attend with you. If you're not a member, it's easy to join here.
