Shallow Gallery: HUM

Head to the Shallow Gallery on the outside of centre:mk to view this new exhibition: HUM.
Colorful aerial painting of houses and roads, viewed from above, with a large white dragonfly flying over.

3PM in a quiet cul-de-sac, where birdsong drifts through the air and merges with the steady hum of tyres on the nearby dual carriageway.

This exhibition unites the distinctive practices of Matthew Clifton and Emma Wilde, two artists attuned to the rhythms of British suburbia. Their work explores the spaces where human planning and the natural world intersect — sometimes in harmony, sometimes in tension — uncovering unexpected beauty at the edges.

Presented by Arts Central Studios and curated by Rookie Services, Shallow Gallery is a public art platform championing contemporary artists and Milton Keynes’ creative community.

Find the gallery to the left of the Field Walk entrance (Door 13), next to Next. Open to the public 24/7.
