More Than Exceptional Steak: Delving into the New Additions at Middleton’s✨
Last week, we had the pleasure of visiting Middleton’s in Milton Keynes, thanks to a delightful PR invite. Located on Midsummer Boulevard in CBX, Middleton’s has long been renowned for its exceptional steak, but our recent visit proved that it is so much more than just a steak place!

Our host was friendly, attentive, and exceptionally informative about

Middleton’s, enhancing our experience with their warm hospitality and detailed knowledge. The restaurant was clean, tidy and nicely decorated, with a huge bar area towards the left as you walk in offering an large selection of drinks.

The visit began with an introduction to their new additions to their already fantastic menu, and we were fortunate enough to sample all the new fresh dishes they've added. Each course was a revelation, showcasing the chef's creativity and dedication to quality. The starters were a tantalising preview of what was to come, and we were so overwhelmed by them, we almost forgot we had more to come, almost polishing them off!

New starters included succulent baby back pork ribs marinated in BBQ sauce, crispy squid nests, chicken wings in a buffalo hot sauce, and a French baguette, served with butter, tapenade and juicy sun-dried tomatoes. We chatted about how we would have always opted for our ‘usual’ of baked camembert or garlic mushrooms, but all these dishes were incredible, and it’s opened our eyes to alternative choices for the future. Particularly surprising were the chicken wings in hot sauce; we would have avoided the ‘hot’, but they were super tasty and cooled perfectly with the blue cheese dressing, (again, blue cheese, not something we would have chosen). The crispy squid nests were so delectably flavoursome and a great choice as a light starter.

For the main course, we tried the Monk fish in a Keralan curry sauce, sticky jasmine rice, almonds, coriander & roti and the classic Gammon Grill, which included a huge Gammon steak, two butchers’ sausages, two fried eggs and onion rings. Personally, I would never have picked a ‘fish curry’ especially at a ‘steak place’, but just to say, I will be returning to have this dish again! It was delicious! We were also served a ranch slaw covered in crispy onions and my colleague’s favourite, crushed new potatoes with chive and shallot butter, (yep, she couldn’t leave it alone)!

Do not ask me how we made space for desserts, but what was on offer was too good to not taste as the offering’s were read out and our mouths watered! Are you ready? Oreo cheesecake served with a delicious cookie dough ice cream, a light and refreshing clementine tart, chocolate fondant with an oozy chocolate centre and vanilla ice cream, (this is served with kirsch cherries that are very strong in flavour, wow), and finally a firm favourite, sticky toffee pudding served with a smooth toffee sauce and vanilla ice cream. We could not pick a firm favourite here, all equally mouth-watering and to be honest my only advice would be, ‘leave room for dessert’ or maybe visit in the daytime for a ‘coffee and dessert’ option!

We can’t forget the drinks we sampled! Mocktails were delicately refreshing as we sipped a Key West Cooler - Passion fruit puree, watermelon, cranberry juice, lemonade and a Strawberry Fizz - Strawberry puree, orange juice, sweet & sour, lemonade. It was a Friday afternoon and they offered, so we also sampled two new cocktails; Red Velvet Cake - Vodka, Baileys, crème de cacao, red velvet syrup, whipped cream and a Salted Caramel Mudslide - Baileys, Tia Maria, vodka, salted caramel syrup & toffee popcorn. These were expertly made by our friendly waiter/host and tasted really, fabulous!

After feeling fuller than we’ve ever felt and walking up Midsummer Boulevard, we discussed how Middleton’s is often associated with steak. While we know their steaks are exceptional, we were equally impressed by the rest of the menu! So, if you’re that couple where one is craving steak and the other isn’t, Middleton’s really does deliver for both, keeping you both satisfied.

Middleton’s is a gem on Midsummer Boulevard, offering a diverse and delicious dining experience for everyone. We couldn’t fault our experience. Don't miss out on this culinary delight, we urge you to book today! We can’t stop talking about it! Thanks Middleton’s!
